How to Bring about World Peace?
Join a Sister Cities Organization in Your Community

World Peace, One individual at a time! The Sister Cities International program was initiated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Maui County is one of nearly 2,500 communities in 126 countries involved in Sister Cities International, and has been coordinating student, educational, cultural and economic development exchange programs since 1964. Spread the Aloha Spirit. Help promote world peace and diplomacy. Meet delegations and cultures from around the world.
Bringing the World to Maui. Bringing Maui to the World. Bringing Aloha to the World.
If you live on Maui, we encourage you to join the Maui County Sister Cities Foundation. For a membership fee as low at $10 a year, you will have a chance to meet delagations from Maui's 23 Sister Cities.
Sister Cities also sponsors a world youth art contest.
Last year one of Maui's youth delegates won and the art exhibit toured the world.
This year's winning art exhibit will return to Maui during April 2009.
Or become a visiting delegate to a Maui Sister City.
